Caring for others; Vulnerability

Heavenly Father,

Thank You and bless You have our children care about others. When we care, we are vulnerable which can be soothing and uncomfortable, alike.  The fact that others can affect you deeply may say some very good things things about who we are. If we are able to care about someone else so much that they make us feel crazy and powerless means we have the capacity for love and attachment.... a wonderful, beautiful gift from You!
Thank you for our children know love - how to love and be loved. In Jesus' name, Amen

Hosea 11:8 My heart churns within me; my sympathy is stirred.

The opposite of love is not hate; it is indifference. - Elie Wiesel, Jewish Holocaust survivor & Nobel Peace Prise winner

To love at all is to be vulnerable....the alternative to tragedy or at least to the risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell.  - C. S.  Lewis (from The Four Loves)

Loving all of you  (and being vulnerable)
