Heavenly Father,
I pray for growth for my children. Lord. I pray for growth and healing in body and for mental growth in intellect. Still, there's so much more to grow. There is soul-growth/inner growth, spiritual growth. I pray for relational growth that spills over to others and helps them grow, as well. Holy Spirit, nudge these beautiful young adults in relational growth with life-mates, friends and even strangers. Lord, I remember a sermon I heard years ago that talked about 'if you are not growing, you are either dying or you are already dead.' We want to grow a little bit everyday, Father. We want to be very alive for You. More than be alive, may we thrive! Father God, You know that Bob and I have a question we often ask one another at the close of a day: "Did you move the needle today?" i.e. Did you grow? Did you accomplish anything? Are you moving forward? Oh, Lord God Almighty, spur on my children to grow everyday in some capacity; transform their hearts and minds. Thank You, thank You, Lord for designing us to grow; for expanding us in any number of ways and for instilling us with a drivenness to be our best for You.
In Jesus' Name, Amen

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
