Focusing on God's Will

Heavenly Father,

Help my children set aside all the hassles and noises of the world to focus and listen just to You for the next few minutes. Help them get to know You better.  Help them to better understand Your plan, Your purpose for their lives. Father, help all our family to live within today, seeking Your will and living this day as You would have us. It is my prayer to have others see all of us as Yours; not just in words, but, more importantly, in actions. Thank You for Your love, Your grace and Your perfect forgiveness.  Thank You for all those You have placed in their lives, for recovery and church family.  Your Will be done, not my will nor their will....YOUR WILL BE DONE.  In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen

Colossians 3:15-17  And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.  And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Violent Prayer: Engaging Your Emotions Against Evil by Chris Tiegreen
In our relationship with God, getting in line with His Will is a process. A long process. There is no rush with a God who plans to love us for eternity. And with Him, we never reach a point where the costs of the relationship exceed the benefits. There is never a time when it is right to give up and walk away. We are in this relationship forever and we have to work things out. We are also in the midst of a messy fight between the kingdom of God and the one who most opposes it, and that takes time. We have to be really, really patient.

Believing God by Beth Moore
Both freedom and faith emerge from deliberate acts of the will to shift our focus from all that begs to differ to the great and glorious truth of the Living God.

At the Will of the Body  by Arthur Frank
Recovery is worth only as much as what you learn about the life you are regaining.

Dear Ones, whether we care to admit it or not, we are all in recovery: spiritual, emotional, relational, mental or physical. EVERY HUMAN is in recovery from sin-sickness.

Always and Forever ~
